The Archives' Fifth Anniversary & Second Open House
Our fifth anniversary was celebrated along with an open house on February 10, 2004 in welcoming the community to our second office space, 775 North Milton Street, Suite 109. It was a big success. We had over 200 people came and enjoyed our rare and precious collections. We want to thank those of you who came and for your generous contribution of $471 to the Archive. We also received material donations from Nor Tou Yang and Mrs. Yang Xiong during the open house. So thank you.
Some of our exhibits during our open house include Conquest of the Miao-tse (1810) by Stephen Weston; Dictionnaire: Miao-Tseu--Francaise (1917) by F.M. Savin; Distoire des Miao (1924) by F.M. Savina; The Story of the Miao (1919) by Samuel Pollard; 74 photos of the Miao Album; Bee Moua's 500 Chao Fa photos; Some 500 Secret War Photos of John Willheim; and many other rare items never before known to be existed.
This event was also an opportunity for the community to learn more about the Archives and its mission. It was supported by generous contributions from Community Health Chiropractic Clinic, Great American Mortgage Corp., and Rogers Printing Services. Thank you!
Below are some of the pictures taken during the open house. Hope you will enjoy them.
