The only personal information the Archives will collect online for interested individuals, organizations and businesses that want to support the Hmong Archives are names and emails.

The primary reason for collecting personal information is contact purposes. The Archives believes in providing good services to its members and supporters and so a means of communication is crucial to establishing positive long term relationship with its patrons.

Furthermore, it is of the utmost importance that the staff of the Archives be able to contact the individual or institution should there arise any problems or issues.

In addition, the Archives seeks to keep its members and supporters well informed of all news, events, services and changes; personal information from members and supporters therefore is vital to better serve our patrons and the community.

How Is Personal Information Safeguard

First and foremost, the Archives does not share any personal information it collects from members or supporters with any outsider parties. In addition, the Archives limit and control access to personal information about members and supporters to protect against unauthorized use. The only staff who are authorized to see and use members and supporters personal information are those who need to as part of their job.

Archives staff are train to respect members and supporters privacy and to only access personal information when needed for business related purposes. Any staff member who violates Hmong Archives privacy policy will be subject to disciplinary action or termination.
